Volunteering at Boomerangs

Boomerangs provides fun and unique opportunities for individuals, community organizations, and corporations to get involved and support the AIDS Action Committee. In fact, over 300 hours of volunteer service are contributed each month to help ensure our stores are filled with the best merchandise and client programs remain funded. Below you will find information about the opportunities we offer. We look forward to working with you!

Community Volunteer Opportunities

These opportunities are great for individuals and groups who might not be able to make it to our Dedham Distribution Center or make a long term commitment to be a volunteer store support member. Some examples of things you can do in your own community or office include:

  • Host a drive for men’s clothing (shoes, suits, shirts, pants—we need it all!)
  • Collect and assemble items for Welcome Home kits for recently housed clients
  • Host a fundraiser for AIDS Action Committee, did you know as little as $30 can cover the cost of a client visit with a peer advocate and help them connect with services?

Want to do something in your community? We want to know about you! Please contact Tams Tidwell, ttidwell@fenwayhealth.org, to learn more.
