Help Team Boomerangs and Friends Support the AIDS Walk & Run Boston!

By May 24, 2019News

Summer is so close, we can taste it. At Boomerangs, our annual official kick off to summer is the AIDS Walk & Run Boston! Taking place Sunday, June 2nd at the Hatch Shell, the Walk is the year’s biggest fundraiser that supports the lifesaving programs of AIDS Action. It’s a great way to get involved while staying in shape and meeting some awesome new friends! This year’s Walk festival is looking particularly fabulous, with free snacks and drinks, music, poetry, dance performances, drag, and more.

The Boomerangs family is gearing up to make a difference this June 2nd with the Boomerangs and Friends Walk team. Our team is hoping to raise $5,000 for AIDS Action this year, and YOU can help us reach that goal! You can donate to the Walk in any of our stores, or make an online donation to our team. Or if you’d like to be a part of the action (no pun intended), we welcome you to sign up for the Walk and join Team Boomerangs and Friends to start your own fundraising journey!

“AIDS Walk season is always an energetic time at Boomerangs,” said Boomerangs General Manager Tams Tidwell. “It gives us a chance to let our customer base know more about us and bring the AIDS Action mission into the stores.”

The proceeds from the Walk support AIDS Action’s diverse programs, which maximize health outcomes for those living with HIV/AIDS and include prevention work, a needle exchange program, a homeless youth shelter, legal services for those facing discrimination, and housing assistance for individuals and families.

We hope you’ll join us as we walk to change lives this June!
